TWiST President Chao-Ping Hsu Elected INWES Deputy President

The Taiwan Women in Science and Technology Association (TWiST) warmly congratulates President Chao-Ping Hsu on her successful election as Deputy President of the International Network of Women Engineers and Scientists (INWES).

Dr. Hsu is currently a Distinguished Research Fellow at the Institute of Chemistry, Academia Sinica, and serves as the 8th President of the Taiwan Women in Science and Technology Association. Over the years, she has been deeply committed to cultivating women talent in science and technology in Taiwan and abroad, advancing gender equality in STEM, and promoting international academic exchange and gender equity in science and technology.

INWES is one of the world’s largest international organizations for women engineers and scientists, with a network spanning more than 60 countries. Its Board of Directors is elected every three years. According to official INWES information, nominations and elections for the 2027–2029 Board were held during ICWES20 in 2026.

Dr. Hsu’s election reflects the international community’s recognition of her outstanding achievements and leadership, while further strengthening the visibility and professional influence of women in science and technology from Taiwan on the global stage.

Looking ahead, TWiST will continue to use the global INWES platform as a bridge to strengthen collaboration with women-in-STEM organizations around the world, working together to increase women’s participation in science and technology and advance global sustainable development.
