Editor’s Report

December 23, 2021, was a special day. I sent a message to the team behind Every Profession Has a Mother, whose work I had been following on Facebook for some time. To our surprise, founders Ying-Hui Wu and Anni—also known as “Left Side”—and I had no mutual Facebook friends at all. At that moment, two completely unfamiliar universes became connected. Since then, Every Profession Has a Mother has become an important partner of the TWiST Newsletter.

At the end of 2025, we celebrated Anni’s completion of her art therapy degree in Italy. Her achievement also connects perfectly with this issue’s introduction to emerging technologies and their applications in mental health. We are grateful for these technologies, which allow us to meet online and support one another through an electronic “embrace.”

As the New Year begins, may your imagination run freely and success arrive at a gallop!
