Event Report | 2023 Women in Science and Technology Convention: International Chapter on STEM Women Empowerment

The 2023 Women in Science and Technology Convention concluded successfully on October 27. Themed “International Chapter on STEM Women Empowerment,” the convention was held online and livestreamed simultaneously on YouTube.

The event was organized by the Taiwan Women in Science and Technology Association (TWiST), the Chinese Institute of Engineers (CIE), the Taiwan Photonics Society, the IEEE Republic of China Section, and National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University.


The event was supported by the National Science and Technology Council and the National Land Management Agency, Ministry of the Interior. More than 50 government agencies, domestic engineering and technology associations, scientific societies, women-in-STEM organizations, science-and-society communities, industry associations, corporations, and international organizations served as co-organizers.


Sponsors included the TSMC Education and Culture Foundation, Cathay Financial Holdings, and MediaTek.
