2024.8.23 TWiST × DuPont Women’s Network Taiwan: Explore Your Future - STEM Hands-On Camp

The TWiST × DuPont Women’s Network Taiwan: Explore Your Future—STEM Hands-On Camp, held in Room 226 of the Applied Science and Technology Building at National Chung Hsing University on August 23, 2024, concluded successfully.

Co-organized by TWiST and the DuPont Women’s Network Taiwan, the event introduced the organizations’ core values and shared commitment to advancing STEM education as part of their sustainability goals. Industry professionals shared their educational and career experiences with participating students, while hands-on chemistry experiments sparked high school girls’ curiosity about STEM.

Taiwan’s technology and semiconductor industries play an important global role, and increasing numbers of women are interested in science and engineering. However, students may still feel uncertain when choosing an academic track or university major and may not fully understand how these decisions affect their future. STEM camps like this provide high school girls with opportunities to explore STEM subjects and imagine themselves succeeding in related careers.

For more than a decade, TWiST has encouraged women’s participation in technology. Its work includes promoting STEM programs for high school and university students, sharing women’s professional experiences through the monthly TWiST Newsletter, and creating opportunities for networking and collaboration. The association remains committed to building a diverse, equitable, and inclusive environment where women in technology can demonstrate their expertise, resilience, and creativity.
