Congratulations! TWiST Executive Supervisor Shun-Lien Song Elected INWES Vice President (Conferences)

TWiST Executive Supervisor Shun-Lien Song has been elected Vice President (Conferences) of the International Network of Women Engineers and Scientists (INWES).

INWES was established following recommendations from the World Conference on Science for the Twenty-First Century, organized by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and the International Council for Science (ICSU) in 1996. The organization oversees the International Conference of Women Engineers and Scientists (ICWES), first held in 1964 and convened every three years.

INWES formally elected its first Board of Directors in 2005, with elections held every three years thereafter.
