2026 Women in Science Festival

In celebration of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, International Women’s Day, and the International Day of Mathematics, the 2026 International Women in Science Festival, organized by National Tsing Hua University and Big City Far Eastern Shopping Center, was held in Hsinchu on March 7.

TWiST Executive Supervisor and former President Jui-Hua Hung was invited to deliver remarks at the opening ceremony, encouraging female students to explore science with confidence and create a lasting impact.

The event featured a diverse science fair and cultural performances, attracting approximately 2,000 visitors. The Nuclear Safety Commission hosted interactive booths, including the Atomic Energy Classroom, where participants learned about radiation protection through engaging educational activities.

Student presenters also shared stories of women scientists, reinforcing the importance of equal participation in science. The festival concluded with a group photo featuring invited guests, successfully inspiring young students to explore the world of science.
