Women in Optics Forum on “Leadership for an Abundant Life” Draws an Enthusiastic Response

On December 6, the Women in Optics forum, “Leadership for an Abundant Life,” was held at National Taiwan University of Science and Technology. The event featured inspiring talks by Yu-Ling Fang, Chairperson of Foresee Optics, and Chiung-Ying Lin, Vice President of KGI Securities. It was sponsored by the Research Center for Applied Sciences at Academia Sinica, the Taiwan Women in Science and Technology Association (TWiST), and Optica.

In the first talk, Chairperson Fang reflected on her career journey. She began as an insurance agent before entering the optics industry and eventually founding her own business group. She also shared a success formula distilled from her life experience: willpower multiplied by action, divided by limitations. Fang went on to describe how she entered the Chinese market and opened new opportunities through precision optical lens technology.
