Taiwan’s advances in science and technology have earned international recognition. Although women remain underrepresented in many technology fields, women scientists and technologists have demonstrated diversity, inclusiveness, and innovation while developing distinctive approaches to leadership. Their growing influence continues to establish new models of women’s leadership in STEM. Encouraging more girls and women to pursue science and technology, creating gender-friendly learning and working environments, and building diverse and inclusive teams have become important global priorities.

The theme of the 2024 Women in Science and Technology Convention is “Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Well-Being.” By connecting women scientists and technologists and amplifying their influence, the convention seeks to advance gender equality in Taiwan’s STEM fields.
