The Women in Mechanical Engineering Workshop, held on July 10, concluded successfully.
The workshop encouraged more women to pursue mechanical engineering while supporting their career development and personal growth. It aimed to bring greater diversity and women’s perspectives into the field.
Part of the Ministry of Education’s program for cultivating women researchers and STEM talent, the workshop was organized by the Women’s Development Committee of the Chinese Society of Mechanical Engineers, with TWiST co-organizing the online lectures. Professor Shu-San Hsiau, Distinguished Chair Professor and Dean of Engineering at National Central University, and Dr. Jung Chen from National Taiwan University Hospital Yunlin Branch shared insights into career skills and women’s physical and mental well-being. The hybrid format allowed more women in technology to participate and exchange experiences.
TWiST remains committed to empowering women and creating inclusive environments where diverse talent can thrive. Through professional exchange, mentorship, and mutual support, the association helps women in science and technology reach their full potential in their careers and personal lives.
