2024.3.6 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): An Overview of Global and Taiwan’s Net-Zero Carbon Initiatives

To advance net-zero emissions and gender equality, the school recently organized lectures and workshops highlighting women’s roles and contributions to sustainable development. Through educational sessions, social media outreach, and campus activities, the event encouraged students and faculty to support environmental action and an inclusive green transition.
Women experts and scholars in sustainability shared their experiences and perspectives, emphasizing women’s importance in climate action and environmental protection. They also presented practical solutions and successful women-led initiatives to inspire more women students to participate. Case studies explored the influence and challenges of gender in sustainable development, deepening participants’ understanding of environmental issues and gender equality.
The campaign encouraged greater participation by women in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and net-zero emissions. According to the school, the event increased awareness of sustainability and strengthened women’s willingness to participate in environmental initiatives.
