Taiwan’s advances in science and technology have long received international recognition. Although women remain underrepresented in many technology fields, women scientists and technologists are steadily expanding their influence and establishing new models of women’s leadership. Encouraging more girls and women to enter STEM, creating gender-friendly learning and working environments, and fostering diverse and inclusive teamwork have become important global priorities.

The theme of the 2023 Women in Science and Technology Convention is “International Chapter on STEM Women Empowerment.” By connecting women scientists and technologists worldwide and amplifying their collective influence, the convention seeks to advance gender equality in Taiwan’s STEM fields.
