2022 Women in Science and Technology Convention｜Toward a New Workplace Where Work and Life Thrive Together

The 2022 Women in Science and Technology Convention concluded successfully on December 9. Under the theme “Toward a New Workplace Where Work and Life Thrive Together,” the convention was held in person on the first floor of the NTUH International Convention Center, with an interactive online meeting held simultaneously.
The organizers of the event included the Taiwan Women in Science and Technology Association, the Chinese Institute of Engineers, the Taiwan Photonics Society, the IEEE Republic of China Section, and National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University. Government co-organizers included the National Science and Technology Council and the Ministry of Labor.
More than 50 other co-organizing institutions participated, representing engineering and technology communities, scientific communities, organizations for women in science and technology, science and society groups, professional associations, and international organizations.
Sponsors included the TSMC Education and Culture Foundation, Cathay Financial Holdings, Pfizer Taiwan, MediaTek, and TTY Biopharm. New Deantronics Taiwan Ltd. sponsored lunch for attendees at the convention.

According to Gender at a Glance in R.O.C. (Taiwan), 2022, published by the Executive Yuan’s Department of Gender Equality, Taiwan ranked sixth globally and first in Asia for gender equality, with substantial progress made across most indicators during 2022.
