Taiwan Women in Science and Technology (TWiST) is a nonprofit organization founded on October 30, 2011. TWiST is dedicated to fostering connections, collaboration, and the sharing of knowledge and experience among women, who remain underrepresented in STEM.

TWiST is a growing community of more than 350 members, approximately 75% of whom are from academia.

Diversity and Inclusion, Mutual Prosperity and Harmony

Our intergenerational motto, “Diversity and Inclusion, Mutual Prosperity and Harmony,” reflects our long-standing commitment to women’s empowerment and to equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) across industries, as well as to the HeForShe initiative. TWiST also represents women in STEM by providing recommendations to government agencies and businesses.

We strive to create a diverse, equitable, and inclusive environment where women in STEM can fully demonstrate their insight, resilience, and creativity.
