The European Regional Conference and Council Meeting of the International Organization of Women Engineers and Scientists (INWES), with active participation from Taiwan Women in Science and Technology (TWiST) , has successfully concluded in Herefordshire, UK. This conference not only strengthened TWIST's position within international organizations but also demonstrated Taiwan's leading capabilities in using innovative technologies to promote gender equality.

Taiwanese Tech Power: HerStory AI Interview Tool Receives High Praise

On the second day of the conference, which focused on the work and participation of women in technology, our TWIST team proactively released the latest results of the HerStory AI interview .

The project has already developed an AI interviewing tool by July 2025, which includes bilingual options in English and Chinese, aiming to quickly build a database of female tech professionals. This inclusive and innovative tool has been highly praised by delegates from various countries at the European conference and will be promoted as a model for INWES.

Sustaining Active Membership to Ensure Taiwan’s International Presence

At this INWES conference, Ms. Song Shunlian (representative of TWIST), the current Vice President of the INWES conference, actively participated, proactively addressed organizational shortcomings, and maintained positive interactive relationships with representatives from various countries.

TWIST has long been operating stably internationally and paving the way for the next generation of leaders, ensuring that Taiwan can continue to have a voice in international women in the tech world.

🎉 Taiwan Secures Hosting Rights for the 2026 INWES-APNN Conference

In addition to its outstanding performance at European conferences, TWIST's efforts in international engagement have also yielded tangible results. At its July 2025 meeting, TWIST successfully secured the hosting rights for the INWES Asia-Pacific Annual Meeting in November 2026 .

The main reason for this successful bid was the thoroughness of Taiwan's proposal (prepared by the team from National Sun Yat-sen University) and the member countries' confidence in the quality of events organized by Taiwan. This is a direct result of TWIST's long-term commitment to international participation and management.

Looking to the future: Encouraging the younger generation to connect with the international community

TWIST dedicates itself to international engagement every year and maintains excellent relations with its member countries. The association hopes to encourage more young people to participate through these international platforms. The goal is to have more Taiwanese representatives attend the ICWES20 Global Conference in the Philippines in 2026, further deepening Taiwan's influence within the international women in technology community.
