Corning Taiwan × TWiST | 2026 Outstanding Paper Award for Female Researchers Now Open for Applications

To foster women researchers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM), Corning Display Technologies Taiwan Co., Ltd. and the Society of Taiwan Women in Science and Technology (TWiST) continue to jointly present the Outstanding Paper Award for Female Researchers. The award encourages women researchers at colleges and universities in Taiwan to pursue research related to materials innovation and sustainable development, bringing greater visibility to work with originality and impact.
This year’s theme, “Leading Materials Innovation toward a New Era of Sustainable Development,” calls for research completed within the past three years that demonstrates innovation or contributes to sustainable development. Relevant fields include glass and ceramic materials, advanced optical materials, sustainable materials, glass and ceramic recycling, and integrated materials solutions.
Application Information
Application Period | July 15, 2026, 8:00 a.m.–September 18, 2026, 5:00 p.m. (Taiwan time)
Eligibility | Women researchers in STEM fields at colleges and universities in Taiwan. Applicants may apply in one of the following categories:
| Master’s Student | Doctoral Student | Faculty and Research Staff (including postdoctoral researchers and faculty members)
One recipient will be selected in each category, for a total of three awardees. Each will receive a prize of NT$30,000.
Awardees will present their research in English at the INWES-APNN 2026 meeting in Kaohsiung between November 3 and 5, 2026, on a date arranged by the organizers.
How to Apply
Applicants must prepare a research abstract in English, an application form, and the relevant consent documents, then complete the online form and submit all required materials by the deadline.
