2026 Outstanding Paper Award for Female Researchers
Corning Taiwan and Taiwan Women in Science and Technology (TWiST) jointly present the 2026 Outstanding Paper Award for Female Researchers to encourage women researchers in STEM fields to pursue research related to innovation and sustainable development.
Application Period
July 15, 2026, at 8:00 AM to September 18, 2026, at 5:00 PM (Taiwan time)
Eligibility
The award is open to women researchers affiliated with universities and colleges in Taiwan, including:
Master’s students in the second year of their program or above
Doctoral students
Postdoctoral researchers
Faculty and staff members in STEM-related fields
Applicants must retain their eligible student, postdoctoral researcher, faculty, or staff status at their affiliated institution through the application deadline.
Research Theme
Leading Innovation in Materials and Moving toward a New Era of Sustainable Development
Eligible submissions should present research achievements from the past three years related to innovation or sustainable development in fields including:
Glass or ceramic materials
Advanced optical materials
Sustainable materials or recycled glass and ceramic materials
Integrated materials solutions
Award Details
Three awardees will be selected:
One awardee in the Master’s Student category
One awardee in the Doctoral Student category
One awardee in the Faculty/Staff category, including postdoctoral researchers
Each awardee will receive NT$30,000. Applicable taxes and administrative fees will be withheld in accordance with relevant laws and regulations.
Awardees will also deliver a 30-minute presentation in English at the INWES-APNN Conference in Kaohsiung in November 2026.
