Accelerating Equity in Science: Exploring Strategies to Advance Equity and Diversity


The 2025 Global Women’s Breakfast (GWB2025) will take place at National Chung Hsing University on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, joining the global celebration of the United Nations’ International Day of Women and Girls in Science.


Jointly organized by the Taiwan Women in Science and Technology Association (TWiST), the Chemical Society Located in Taipei, the College of Engineering at National Chung Hsing University, and the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC), the event aims to promote collaboration and mutual support among women scientists. It will also provide career guidance for postdoctoral researchers and students while strengthening women’s participation and influence in the scientific community.


Theme: Accelerating Equity in Science

This year’s event will explore how to accelerate equity in science by creating equal opportunities for people of different backgrounds, genders, ethnicities, and socioeconomic circumstances to study, participate, and advance in scientific fields. Discussions will focus on promoting diversity and inclusion while accelerating progress toward gender equality.
